Do you love flying on one particular airline for your
international travel? If yes, then you shall reconsider the habitual booking
with one airline only because you might be missing on the savings of hundreds
of dollars. The international flight tickets that you seek to buy with your preferred carrier might not be the
best deal at that point of time. Okay, have you looked for some alternative
fares or deals on international flights? If the answer is no, then you are
yourself to blame for the loss of money. This loss is the loss of opportunity
to save money.
You might believe that there are frequent flyer points to be
earned when you fly with one airline. While this is true, it is also a fact
that every time you do this, you miss out on the lowest airfares of the other
airline for your route of flight. It is one of the least appreciated way of
booking cheap air tickets. Whenever
you fly to any city in a foreign land, among the first carriers to look for are
the carriers from that particular country. And, you will find that almost all
of these operate codeshare or interline flights in consonance with the American
carriers.
However, it is important to also take into consideration the
flights provided by the some of the lesser known airlines or the airline from
the less populated countries of that region. These might be connecting flights
and might require you to spend a day or so in their own country before flying
to the final destination. But, these will be providing the fares which can save
you money considerably.
A classic example to take is that of the cities in European
region. There are many small countries in Europe, apart from the larger ones.
These small countries have city airports which are served by a number of
carriers from other countries of the region as well. Some of the lesser known
airline companies might be offering a better fare than the other, more
prominent ones.
